Applications are available now. Interested parties may acquire an application by clicking on the link below or either phone or by email. It is important to return the application to the indicated address prior to the deadline listed in the annual announcement. Within each grant category, the Scholarship Committee will choose finalists based on the completed application received. Those applicants who are not selected as finalists will be notified. Finalists will be asked to audition in their respective categories for the Committee.
Applicants should clearly identify the category for which the grant is being requested. The grant categories are:
Applicants in this category would need to use the grant for the purpose of vocal study or study in the performing arts related to the voice.
Applicants in this category would need to use the grant for the purpose of study in arranging or composing music.
Applicants in this category would need to use the grant for the purpose of study directing and conducting vocal music.
The finalists will be asked to meet with the Selection Committee for a skills demonstration and brief interview . No preparation for the interview portion is necessary. A photograph will be taken for our records. For the demonstration, finalists should come prepared with accompaniment if appropriate, either live or taped (a piano is available.) Two selections are to be prepared from which the Selection Committee may choose at the time of demonstration. Selections should be of contrasting style to demonstration the range and flexibility of the applicant. Demonstration will be evaluated on preparedness, enthusiasm, presentation and other criteria as appropriate for the finalist's level of experience and learning. All decisions of the Selection Committee are final.
