We wish to share our passion of music whether as singer, student, musician or listener

Paige Patrick – Paige returned for her third audition (with a one year break in between). Since her last audition in 2016, Paige has transitioned to earning her entire income from music. She increased her private lesson business and is also working for Pacific Master Chorale. Her music emphasis is still opera, but she has branched out into learning jazz and musical theatre. The committee was impressed not only her incredible voice, but her commitment to helping students embrace the power and joy of music. Her goal is to sing in regional

opera and continue her work with her students and Pacific Master Chorale. Shewill use her award for voice and acting lessons.

Andrew is a high school senior in Petaluma, who only recently discovered his passion for music and his talent for singing. He s currently in his high school choir and has performed in high school musical

theater. He recently has been given lead roles for his singing ability. While he enjoys opera his passion and focus is musical theater as well as African music and rhythms. His favorite performer is Gene Kelly!! He will attend Sonoma State in the fall and will major in vocal performance and music education. He

will use his award for continued voice lessons.

Arguably the most unusual audition seen by the committee in a long time. Feona has written an opera based on her family’s experience in China at the time of the communist takeover. She wrote the music, the

libretto, staged and recorded the opera. She was able to enlist the help of volunteers for all parts of this production. The committee was able to view the video of her opera. It was heartwarming and sad at the same time. The  committee was impressed with her passion and her abilities. You can listen to her arias. Below is the link to the recordings. If anyone is interested we can provide the link to the video. She will use her award to continue the work on the opera.

Amy graduated from UC Davis with a B.A in Music and Comparative Literature and then went on to receive her masters in Vocal Performance in 2014. She is pursuing a professional career in opera and is seeking to gain

essential stage experience, technical expertise and audition preparation through participating in summer festival productions. She will be singing two lead roles in festivals in Texas and in the Netherlands this summer. She would like to have strong reginal opera career with the long term goal of performing internationally. She also enjoys the jazz standards. She incorporates her other passion of yoga into workshops for musicians. Amy has gorgeous soprano voice and a clear picture of her future. The committee was impressed with both. She

will use her ward for cost of this summer’s festivals.
